Drawing on expertise at LSTM in expressing recombinant cytochrome P450's and also in insecticide metabolism, we can offer bacterial membranes (bactosomes) containing the following P450's associated with pyrethoid metabolism and metabolic resistance in mosquitoes;
CYP6P3 & CYP6M2 from An.gambiae,
CYP6P9a from An.funestus,
CYP9J32 from Ae.aegypti.
Membranes include mosquito cytochrome P450 reductase and b5 thus suitable for high throughput screening, particularly in insecticide discovery for P450-insecticide interactions.
